Software & Website Development?

I want to be a professional in computer software %26amp; website development.

I can't afford much fee so can anybody give me some suggesstions about a course or technology doing which I can easily get a job and then continue my learning?

What about ASP and .Net? I already know HTML/DHTML, Frontpage, VB 6, ACCESS/Foxpro - Database Management.

Can I get a job after learning ASP? I have interest in Web Technology. Please provide me some useful guidelines as I am in the dire need of a good job in the IT field and currently I am living in some other matro city so I can't do an expensive course at present.

Software %26amp; Website Development?
you can learn most of that online free, this forum is good for asp - if you have questions http://www.webforumz.com/
Reply:In my experience, investing money into a mircosoft technology is a good plan ... I myself studied quite a bit of programming with mircosoft (ASP, etc)

Although ... now, I am starting to look at learning technologies like PHP (www.php.net) and mySQL rather. There are way more resources online for learning these applications, and there also seems to be more scope for employment (but this might differ where you are). This would be, in my opinion, the cheaper way for you to learn a skill that could get you employed. I dont regret doing ASP, but also dont see myself needing it as much in the future now.
Reply:Microsoft (free domain and hosting for life) , Google (Googlepages, Blogger) , Yahoo (Geocities), Freewebs are some of the companies offering free websites with design tools . A list of free websites with features and links is available at http://tinyurl.com/lw7kp Try tis link, you may get more information to match your requirements
Reply:Here's the thing my friend. It's not so much the technologies themselves that you have to be worried about. It's the thought process that facilitates the use of the technologies. So okay, sure you know Java. But what does that mean, if you don't understand how to analyze an algorithm or how to determine which algorithm is best to use to solve your program.

But allas, all that stuff can be learned. Either way, to answer your question you could get a job if you learned ASP (.NET) or Java (server side) or PHP, AJAX and SQL. I would probably say it's really easy to learn how to use these tools, it's much more difficult to use them well.

hope this helps....
Reply:Just use PHP and notepad, anything else is excessive.

Also there are no good jobs in the IT field, I'm afraid - there is only pain, suffering, fear and loathing. And death, glorious death, your only escape.

greeting cards
